Poor barefoot deaf girl, with a smile on her face, sells gramophone records in the square. Nobody notices her. The girl realizes that no one wants to buy records and goes to the 'fountain of desire' to collect coins from it. With the collected coins, the girl buys a doll in a shop on the square. It is noticed for the first time by a girl of a higher class. The spoiled girl's mother refused to buy the same doll which made her sad. She enters her apartment, which is leaking. She puts the gramophone record, which she failed to sell, on the gramophone. She approaches the sick father who is lying in bed and communicates in sign language. She is taking care of him and the triviality of the community comes to the utterance in full swing.
